Coaches

Charlie is the head coach for the Lexington High School boys varsity team. In his 2 seasons as coach, the team has combined for a 25-7-9 record and a 72% winning percentage, along with winning the Middlesex League title his first season and garnering coach of the year honors. In addition, he is the head coach for the New England Revolution Amputee soccer team, helping the team to a national cup in 2026 with a combined 19-2 goal difference. He is also an assistant coach for the US Amputee National team and has his D-License through US Soccer. He currently teaches 8th grade Civics at Ottoson Middle School in Arlington.

Nico is a long time athlete on the US Amputee Soccer Team, leading Team USA as captain at the 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2026 World Cups. All-time leading goal scorer, assist leader, and yellow card recipient for team USA, Nico is a fierce competitor at the height of the world’s game. As a coach, Nico has 16 seasons experience coaching at the high school and college level across New England, leading the CCHS JV team for 6 seasons, as assistant coach at Regis College Women’s Team for the 2024 Season, and currently as assistant to Coach Livingstone at the Lexington Boys Varsity program. Nico specializes in technical ability, fitness, leadership, and elite performance mindset. A world class athlete at the height of the international game, Nico understands what is required to gain an edge. Nico is the Lead Educator at the Bionic Project, Founder of the New England Amputee Soccer Association, and a worldwide advocate for adaptive sports, inclusivity, and building a more empathetic world.

Jay brings a lifetime of experience and enthusiasm for soccer to the LHS Boys Freshman program. He’s been coaching soccer since 2004 and playing soccer since 1971. He grew up in Lexington, raised his family in Lexington, has been working at LHS since 2008, and has been coaching the Freshman team since 2016. Jay understands the transition from middle school to high school and does his best to impart values to new players by helping them prioritize family, academics, and student athletics. By teaching priority setting, self-advocacy, and the importance of teamwork to new players in the LHS Soccer Program, Jay helps young players not only understand soccer, but also understand who they are individually and prepare for the rigor of LHS.
